Who writes this?

Joshua Lurie is the founder of Vertical Slice Games (VSG), a video game outlet that has been providing news, review aggregation, and more to gamers around the world since 2018. After previously publishing the Early Access newsletter, life circumstances led to a hiatus, but VSG continued providing review aggregation and maintaining an active presence on social media.

Pixel Perfect marks the return of Josh's newsletter writing in September 2025—an evolution of the Early Access concept with sharper focus on gaming industry analysis. It combines years of industry insight with a commitment to substantive analysis over hot takes.

Subscribe to Pixel Perfect to get full access to the newsletter and its dedicated archive on Substack. And for the latest news, reviews, and more, head over to the official VSG website and follow VSG on Instagram and Threads.
